The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

Well equipped kitchen with gas hob, oven, microwave, TV, Netflix and free wifi. 15-20 mins from New Plymouth. 10 minutes from Airport. 40 mins from White Cliffs Walk, 15 mins to Pukekura Park Festival of the Lights. 35mins to Mt Taranaki. We love sharing this space with you as we believe it's something special.

This self-contained unit is located less than a 10 min walk from New Plymouth town and costal walkway. It boasts a warm cosy space with all the amenities you need. It has a separate entrance from the main home allowing for more privacy with its own bathroom and kitchenette (with microwave, two elements, air fryer, fridge, kettle and toaster). There is plenty of free street parking as well as a single car parking space next to the airbnb (for small cars only).

MAX OCCUPANCY 2 Adults & 2 Children under 12 The Black Yurt is situated within Oakura. The surf beach, a number of cafes/restaurants, a pharmacy and a convenience store are within walking distance. Several hiking trails can be found nearby. Accessible via a private staircase, this yurt offers you a comfortable king-size bed, lounge area and kitchenette. The bath and shower are outdoors. A separate small building contains the toilet.

We are two minutes from Lake Mangamahoe Walking track and Mountain Bike park, you can be in New Plymouth in ten minutes and be up North Egmont in 15 minutes.
