Granary Cottage - EV Charging & a large garden

Superb semi detached cottage with two bedrooms, a large garden & private parking just over 2 miles from Cartmel & Newby Bridge at the South end of Lake Windermere. Granary Cottage has a EV charger for vehicle charging. Vehicle charging is charged at 50p per unit. The dining room has great views with a pair of French doors in to the living room which has a large double sofa bed & another pair of doors to the garden & outdoor seating. The master bedroom is en suite with a 2nd Jack & Jill door.

This newly refurbished property is a fantastic lakeside retreat for families and couples who seek all the beauty that the Lake District has to offer. Just a short walk to The National Trusts Fell Foot Park and Swan Hotel & Spa this is the perfect place to unwind and explore. Don't miss the Haverthwaite Steam Train that runs along the bottom of the garden. If you have the time you can even go for a ride.

Waterside house is an ancient farmhouse which sits in a large garden surrounded by fields and woodland, it has belonged to the Finsthwaite estate since it was build in 1580 . Its historical character is shown in the large fireplace and the beams, which add to the charm. Waterside is known as the home of the “Finsthwaite Princess”. who was the alleged illegitimate daughter of Bonnie Prince Charlie. She lived in three rooms on the first floor which were panelled out of scotch pine for her.

Drakes Cottage is situated within the courtyard of a former 18th century coaching stables. The medieval village of Cartmel is a 15 minute walk away, via public footpath through the surrounding fields or country lanes. Famous for its 12th century Priory, 2 Michelin starred restaurants & delicious sticky toffee pudding. The Edwardian town of Grange is a 5 minute drive with plenty of amenities and a lovely promenade walk. The southern end of Lake Windermere is a 12 minute drive.
