Higurashi-sou is a small guesthouse with 5 rooms only. This room is called 'Suisen' with unique Karakami paper doors with hand-drawn swirls and swimming frogs. (There are no bathrooms on the same floor. ) We can offer 'free bathhouse ticket', Enjoy our bathhouse culture with the locals! 10 minutes walk to Nijo castle. It is a traditional Japanese 'Kyo-Machiya' located in scenic Arashiyama, on the west side of Kyoto. The train station (JR Saga Arashiyama Sta. 5min walk away) is from there it's 12-17 minutes to JR Kyoto Station. Arashiyama is with its beautiful scenery, the Hozu and Ooi Rivers with its romantic 'Moon-Crossing Bridge Togetsukyo,' the bamboo grove, etc...
