Haven by the Beach Waterfront Fully Self Contained

This private guest suite is on the ground floor of my waterfront home. With views across the garden to Bruny Island and a direct path leading to a sandy beach, this is a quiet Haven. The suite includes; a large bedroom, king bed, private entrances, garden deck, contemporary bathroom, and a kitchenette. The location is the stunning South Arm Peninsula offering many coastal trails, beaches, and a key site for viewing the Aurora Australis. Easy access to Hobart (40mins) and the Airport (30ms).

Oakchester Cottage on Bruny Island

Built in the 1860s by Englishwoman Antoinette Pignon Powle, the cottage is one of Bruny Island’s oldest homes. Originally called Oakchester, locals know it as Mr. Wisby’s Cottage. Antoinette left for the Holy Land and never returned, leaving her neighbor to care for it. Restored inside and out, the cottage has two bedrooms (one upstairs, one downstairs), dining/kitchen, living room, outdoor entertaining space, and bathroom/laundry with walk-in shower and claw-foot bath. Minimum two nights stay.

High above the D'Entrecasteaux Channel 195 Devlyns Rd. is on 13 acres with sweeping 360° views. Uninterrupted vista to Kunanyi (Mt.Wellington) to the North and The Tasman Peninsula to the East. Here at Great Bay Hideaway relax in this peaceful setting whilst planning your Bruny Island adventures. Only a stones throw from Get Shucked Oysters and the Bruny Island Cheese Company and a brisk walk to the beautiful Great Bay beach.
