Shibden View Cottage: A luxury 18th century stay

Our historic cottage is nestled on the side of the dramatic Shibden valley, famous as the home of Ann Lister, 'Gentleman Jack'. Shibden View offers luxury, self-catering accommodation for up to four adults. Situated on the cobbled Hough, our recently renovated, 18th century building boasts two en-suite bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen/diner and a cosy , first floor lounge with panoramic views over Shibden Hall and estate. Free, off-street parking and WiFi, with enclosed outdoor seating areas.

Quietly stylish and perched beside a quaint, sparkling stream, our eco-conscious cabin is perfectly located for a moment of peace, or a restful weekend of countryside wandering. Hidden beneath the quiet streets of Holywell Green, Cabin Under The Bridge is one of Calderdale's best kept secrets. We're a stones throw away from several award winning gastro pubs, and with easy access to the more cosmopolitan offerings of Leeds and Manchester, our guests can enjoy all the flavours of The North.

The Old Shop

The Old Shop Halifax, is just a short drive from the M62 motorway. It consists of a bedroom with double bed or for friends, (from 27 June) two singles . A living room with TV, WiFi and “Book Swap”. A kitchenette/dining area & also a shower room. We can supply a travel cot and/or folding bed on request, a high chair is also provided. Parking is on street but it’s rarely a problem. Eating out, you have great choices, there are many local good pubs, restaurants and takeaway's to choose from.

The Old Post Office in Bolster Moor is a self contained 1 bedroom apartment. Furnished and equipped for stays of a weekend, a week or a month. There is private off road parking and a shared garden. With a brilliant farm shop and cafe opposite and the local pub two minute walk away. Barely a mile away is Golcar, where you can find shops, food & restaurants, pubs & a pharmacy. There is an abundance of great walking in the area and the 13 mile long Colne Valley way passes right by us.

The Barn @ Broomhill Farm

We have a unique barn attached to our farmhouse in an area called Sowood between Halifax and Huddersfield with panoramic far reaching views. We are situated up a bridlepath with plenty of privacy and tranquility but still within easy reach of motorway networks with the M62 being a 5 minute drive away. With a huge amount of local attractions close by, our barn is perfectly placed for long country walks, bike rides, day trips out and is equipped with all you need for a great getaway.

Situated a mere 15 mins drive from popular events location, The Piece Hall, Halifax.
