Welcome to Indigo Woods Retreat! Our historic cottage is nestled in the woods just up the road from Roanoke and Salem on top Burkett Mountain. We are next to a >1400 acre nature preserve with 5 miles of trails. Appalachian Trail (McAfee Knob), Blue Ridge Highway, Smith Mountain Lake, James River, wineries, breweries, shopping are close by. 18 min to Roanoke College and 40 minutes to Virginia Tech. Peaceful country living near Philpott Lake. Outdoors trails, hunting and fishing. Near Blue Ridge Parkway, National and State parks. Enjoy the nature in a very private, quiet cottage. Very clean non smoking, 65" TV/home theatre, WI-FI , Wood Burning Stove, and outdoor fire pit (wood provided) for your enjoyment. Come and distress yourself at Hope Haven Cottage. Pets: We welcome pets. If you have more than 2 pets, please contact us for approval. There is a pet fee of $50 for the entire stay.

Gateway Cottage. Historic Homeplace+Mountain Views

We have some surprises for you at Gateway Cottage! We hope you'll come share them. It's the historic homeplace for a family of seven who lived here for 100 years. It's now a blend of farmhouse and contemporary. This cottage is also a blend of country and town, with plenty of space to spread out, relax, walk our 3 acres, view mountains, and watch the deer. Need something you might have at home? I bet we've thought of it! You'll be surprised to find how well-equipped Gateway Cottage is.

Right next I-81. The apartment actually is in-law suit consists of one bedroom, full bath, kitchenette, and smart TV. It also has its own private access, patio and generous parking area. To reach airport in 10 mins. Exploring the downtown Roanoke and Main Street of Salem in short distance too. Hollins Univ. and Roanoke College are both around 4 miles away. The ducks and chickens stroll around and deer visit too. Kick back and relax in this cozy, quiet and stylish space in the woods.

The enormous screened porch is where you will want to relax and enjoy the views. 3/4 mile to SML State Park(beach, hiking, biking, boat ramp), 4 miles to Parkway Marina, 1/2 mile to Mariners Landing Golf Course. Plenty of parking for multiple vehicles and a loop driveway if you’re towing boats. 2 queen and 2 twin beds. Fully equipped kitchen, cozy living room with smart TV and fireplace, 400Mbps WiFi. Separate sunroom for gaming or teleworking. Well behaved owners with dogs welcome.

10 minutes from the heart of Smith Mountain Lake “Bridgewater”, 15 minutes from Blue Ridge Parkway. Come enjoy this cozy, peaceful space. Bring your family to enjoy smores in the fire pit, grilling on the back deck, and lovely creek in the back yard. 10 minutes away, host a beautiful Smith Mountain Lake with plenty of activities. Boat rentals, put put, arcade, and great restaurants just down the road. There is plenty of room for parking for all who want to bring your own boat.

Virginia's Triple Crown Lodge (Shuttle)

This newly renovated barn loft is located a 0.3 mile walk from the AT and just off the Transamerica Trail (cycling). This secluded retreat is located within 20 miles of Blacksburg, Fincastle, Daleville, Salem, and Roanoke. The host is an experienced AT hiker and offers shuttle service to local trailheads, grocery stores, laundromats, etc. The first 20 miles are complimentary, with a $0.67 fee per additional mile. A 2 bedroom 2 bath high-end loft with luxury finishes. The space features a balcony and table in the back and is decorated with a Foodie theme. The space features a full kitchen with a dishwasher, large island, and a nice assortment of quality cook and prep ware. The larger bedroom has a king bed, the smaller one a queen. The central downtown location means you can walk to everything Roanoke has to offer. Paid daily parking (by the day) available in adjacent lot.
