You can also go for short hikes around Latpanchor. 4 kms from our homestay one can come across beautiful Namthing lake and if lucky one can also find a rare species of salamander.

Tucked away in the village of Jawana (which means the village beneath the cliff), about 20 min drive through a farm road from the main road near Punakha Dzong is a Bhutanese treasure called Aum Wangmo Homestay. The 5-acre farm has been in Aum Wangmo’s family for about 200 years, since her great-great-grandfather’s time. Well maintained, the farmhouse has been repaired, extended and renovated to house two modern toilets/bathrooms and five rooms to accommodate 10 tourists comfortably.

It is called the river home because my house is right on the bank of the river. Its my home and the river, nothing in-between. A perfect place to cleanse and unwind. The home has a mandir. Along with the flower garden, there is a kitchen garden and we grow seasonal vegetables. Soft archery, carrom., dart board available. The place has a hammock and fishing rod for angling. The river and the sky has its own beauty. Looks spectacular in different seasons. A perfect retreat.
