Our property is nestled in the woods, just far enough off the highway that all you can hear is the sound of gentle rushing water. Koosah is almost identical to Tamolitch Cabin. We welcome people from all backgrounds and hope to share with you our love of the outdoors and our beautiful place in the woods!

Drive down a long private road, set off of the HWY, to find a riverfront cabin amidst the lush Willamette National Forest. As you wind through the driveway you will find a sanctuary for relaxation, recreation, and comfort. A trail from the back deck will lead you down to the bank of the emerald waters of the McKenzie River. The McKenzie River Trail parallels the property, and is accessed from the private road to the cabin. The property has a campground setting, with river and forest views.

The Red Door Retreat is part of Our Shangra la LLC. We overlook the Circle Bar Golf course. Quiet, water features on four sides. 6 month creek flows into the North Fork of the Willamette. Tree frog pond and waterfall in the Grape arbor. We put up our own grape juice. Heated Exercise Pool with a current also enclosed to keep the pool area pleasant. A HOT SPRINGS hot tub. Multi car parking. Koi and frog pond. A Treehouse with stairs and adult swing set.

Shower head is removable/hand-held for added convenience.

Great for a bike trip, hiking, frisbee golf, a visit to Willamette Pass, or Crater Lake! Free Parking on site.

The North Fork of the Middle Fork of the Willamette is steps away and the temperature is perfect for cooling down after a day of activities. We've been busy renovating the house and can't wait to share it with you!
