Greek Revival Farmhouse

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, The Pierce Farmhouse was built in 1870 as a wedding gift for a son. We have owned it for 20 years and have made another set of renovations to bring it back to its original charm and character while making it more comfortable with modern amenities. The farmhouse sits on 60 wooded acres in High Shoals and guests have access to our pond for fishing and river for canoeing. We are 20 minutes from Athens, and 15 minutes from Monroe and Madison.

The main level features an open concept living room with a foldout Twin Sleeper chair, and a fully equipped kitchen. This comfy 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath cottage has been completely renovated in 2020. In the main house there are 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths + living room, kitchen, and spacious back patio. Access to bunkhouse with bunkbeds + trundle + full bathroom is available for an additional $50 per night by messaging when you reserve. 4 block walk to DT Watkinsville. 6 mi. to Sanford Stadium: this is the perfect location for rest & relaxation.

In 2021, we renovated this building into a comfortable, airy, well-lit space with a many amenities. A short walking distance to restaurants, shops, OCAF art center, and 7 minute drive to DT Athens, home of UGA, or 20 min. to historic Madison. Enjoy coffee (we have 2 kinds of coffee makers) or afternoon libations on the porch. Best of all - sleep well in a very comfortable bed.
