The Captains Quarters at Sylvanrude is a step into a forest of Douglas Fir, Cedar, and Hemlock. The small apartment is above a garage, and is equipped with a coved ceiling bathroom, (tall folks beware) full kitchen, cozy sleeping area with a new queen bed on antique frame, TV with DVDs only, (wifi is through MIFI, a Verizon source), a private beach fire pit with beach access, and the most amazing sunsets over Case Inlet. It is a 5 minute drive to the University of Puget Sound, and 10 minute drive to UWT and the Ruston waterfront. It has a large kitchen and washer and dryer. The main room boasts a queen bed, sofa, smart TV, dining area, walk-in closet and a full bathroom. This apartment has all the comforts of home you need so you can have a relaxing visit to Tacoma.

The spacious living room with writing desk, bedroom, bath, mini-kitchen (with hot plate), patio, and private coded entrance are on the lower floor of this rural mid-century modern house—our family home since 1960. (P.S. There is no cleaning fee.)
