Dine al fresco on the rustic, shared patio of this loft retreat in the settlement of Kylemore. The space exudes an effortless style with geometric patterns and neutral color scheme. Marvel at the gourmet kitchen and stunning skylight mountain views. The luxurious loft is fully furnished with a well-equipped kitchen which will allow you to enjoy the spoils from one of the many food markets, stalls and farms in the area. To ensure guest comfort the unit is also air-conditioned. The bathroom is equipped with a spacious shower. Parking for a maximum of two vehicles, parked in tandem, is directly in front of the unit. The backyard & patio is shared between two units. We do not live on site and will therefore not be able to welcome you in person. This space is set in a quaint rural hamlet on the mountain pass between the two most renowned gastronomic destinations in South Africa—Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. It is surrounded by acclaimed wine areas and breathtaking mountain views. The rural setting is ideal for those with their own transport. There are shuttle services available in the area, but it is recommended guest have their own transport to fully explore the winelands. Mountain biking and cycling on the mountain pass are favourite pastimes, as is hiking. Uber is also available and is a good alternative for guests who do not want to drive. Please be so kind as to communicate your approximate ETA to facilitate welcome and key hand-over at least 24-hours before arrival. As can be expected in a little country haven, there are no convenience stores in close proximity to The Barracks. We advise you to do your grocery shopping in Stellenbosch (a short 7 minute drive away) before you arrive if you plan to dine at the unit. Remember to get charcoal if you plan to use the braai facilities. As the loft is located in an historical building made up of 8 semi's, situated next to one another you will need to consider the neighbours in regards noice levels especially after 10h00pm.

Kaapzicht Self Catering loft The loft is part of a modern rebuild Cape Dutch house with a beautiful garden. There is a living room with 2 single beds and a seperate bed room with 2 single beds. The bath room has a toilet and a shower. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, water cooker, microwave and 4 burner electric hob. The living room is furnished with single arm chairs, a dining table and DSTV. Enjoy the outdoor life on the balcony between the palm trees and watch the beautiful sunsets.

Located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood in Onrus within walking distance to the beach, tidal pools and coastal paths. The loft has lots of natural light & beautiful mountain views. There is a Queen size bed and sleeper couch for young children. Spacious seating area with books and tourism guides. The kitchenette is a functional, practical space where you can make tea or coffee or prepare a light meal.

All linen is provided. A continental breakfast can be ordered and packed into your fridge the night before. Walk to seafront and town.

Feel free to wander down to our Potager Garden, where we grow seasonal veggies and the chickens roam. Or sit by our Dam, which is a haven for all kinds of birds.
