Burnside Aokautere. A comfortable country escape.

A country escape located 4km’s up the Pahiatua Track. Approximately 8-10 minute drive to the outskirts of town, Massey University, the IPU Tertiary Institute and to our local Summerhill shopping centre with a supermarket, takeaways, laundry, café’s and restaurants. Palmerston North's CBD is about 13 km's. Your private entrance leads to a guest suite attached to our house with a lounge, separate double and single bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchenette with basic supplies for preparing meals.

This beautiful 1930's Callifornia bungalow oozes old style charm from every nook and cranny. Enjoy ample light and space with fantastic flow. Enjoy the indoor outdoor living with drinks and nibbles in the sun on the deck. Plenty of lawn for the kids and or dog to race around, the good old kiwi quarter acre block. The house is situated in one of Palmerston Norths favourable suburbs. Close to Massey Uni, walking distance to a scenic stroll along the river and a 5 minute drive to town.

If you find yourself in the need of being in Palmerston North, we are very sorry! However we will do what we can to help make your stay a little bit more exciting! With our family home we have lived in for over 5 years, that has undergone a full renovation so the quality of stay will be delicious! -5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms (2 masters with ensuite’s) -10 min walk to town! -Cozy outside space sheltered from road More photos to come!

Private sleepout with attached bathroom

Our spacious sleep out is fully fenced with within premises parking as well as plenty of off street parking option. Private entrance. Bus stop just outside our gate. It is centrally located just 2 min drive to Manawatu Arena and 4 minute drive to city centre and Manawatu river walkway. Diary and supermarket is within the walking distance. Unlimited fibre wifi which is slow sometimes but we are working on it.. Light breakfast included.

Two bedroom apartment

Take a break and relax at this unique and tranquil retreat. The property is located on the edge of town, offering the best of both worlds—the city's convenience and the countryside's peacefulness. The apartment is attached to the house but has its own entrance. While it does not have a full kitchen, the Kelvin Grove shopping centre is just a five-minute drive away. There, you will find a Woolworths, two takeaways, and a bakery.

Harakeke Cottage

We'd love to host you in our cute, fully self-contained guest cottage in rural Tokomaru. This little (but spacious) house has everything you need including full cooking facilities (stove, oven/ microwave, dishwasher, fridge, utensils), all linen, washer/dryer, Sonos sound system to play your own music and free wifi. Less than 20 minutes to Palmerston North and 10 minutes to Massey University & Linton Army camp.

The Cottage

A private self contained cottage in a rural setting. This restored 1930's cottage is very cosy and comfortable. A heat pump is available for those chilly nights. The Cottage is located on a lifestyle block approximately 14 km from the centre of Palmerston North. The cottage looks out over a pond and paddocks with ducks and sheep. Guest access is by keypad on the main entry gate to the property.
