The house has been restored in a Goan/Portuguese style with Burmese teak wood doors and windows, Spanish tiles and original teak & rosewood furniture. Relax on either the front or back balconies, and enjoy extensive garden lighting, and a bonfire at night!

A birders paradise, the forest is also home to several other animals such as the Gaur, Barking Deer, Monkey and Wild Hare - who occasionally stop by for food and water in the hills surrounding the property, thus making 1873 a one-of-a-kind place to visit.
