There are numerous scenic walks from the door, with the River Dove 10 mins walk away. Other attractions nearby include Chatsworth House and the Tissington Trail. The village also boasts a Michelin guide restaurant and a regular concert programme.

Quirky self-contained Chalet 'Little Switzerland’

Chalet in the grounds of a large garden in the beautiful Peak District village of Youlgrave (good pubs & shops). Spectacular walks on doorstep. My mother was Swiss German and she had a large greenhouse made into the Chalet in 1992. In 2017 we fully renovated this quirky building. Easy parking, twin beds with new high quality firm memory foam mattresses in 2020, no smoking, ONE dog friendly. Outside seating infrared sauna is available at extra cost. We also have an EV charger available

With the popular wedding venue (Peak Edge Hotel ) within walking distance and the beautiful market towns of Bakewell, Matlock and Chesterfield (with its famous crooked spire) close by you can easily explore the Peak District from here. Perfect for a couple's get away at this stunning location, situated on the cycle path around Carsington water, with stunning views of the reservoir. Lots of walking routes on your doorstep. It is adjoining to Upperfield Farm, a large holiday cottage, that only takes weekend bookings. we accept well-behaved pets with a small £20 pet fee. We have now started offering one breaks.

Ideally situated for exploring the local trails on foot or bike, which give fantastic, far reaching views towards the Peak District and across the Pennines. Good food and hospitality are available at the village pub which is a two minute walk away.
