'The Duke' is a John Wayne inspired western themed space perfect for a quiet getaway to Ruidoso and located on the main road into town. This is the downstairs to our primary home that we have converted to 'The Duke' with John Wayne western décor, comfortable living room with mini fridge, microwave and coffee. Don't forget to peek into the kid friendly 'cupboard under the stairs' Harry Potter inspired closet. Relax each day on the 6' by 40' covered deck listening to the Rio Ruidoso river below

Enjoy our comfortable guest suite located off of i40 and close to the hospitals, shopping, and restaurants. Our guest have their own entrance to their suite with keyless entry, separate parking, patio, bathroom, living room, and bedroom. There are no shared spaces however; we do live on site so you may hear us from time to time. The bedroom sleeps 2 with a king size bed and the living room has a twin size bed escape great for children, custom built with a beautiful flower wall, a kid’s dream!

Quiet & Peaceful Bohemian Suite

A sweet, cozy bohemian sanctuary for travelers seeking a clean, peaceful space for a short term stay. Easy access parking with a private entrance. There’s a fully stocked “kitchenette” (no sink or stove). The bedroom is small & doesn’t have a closet or a dresser. There’s an alter as I use it for my healing practice, which is why it's not ideal for long term guests. The bathroom is large & shared with the host. I have a separate entrance & I’m rarely home so it will still feel very private.

We sit on Dolores Mountain overlooking the Chihuahuan desert. U must like a little dust, stars and dirt roads to like The Roadhouse .There’s no other place quite like it that looks over the desert and to the mountains beyond. We are in the country and on a dirt road yet only 1 mile from the beautiful downtown Fort Davis, The Fort and restaurants. Please look at the astrophotography pictures taken from our property. It is the bottom cabin as our personal cabin is the top cabin.
