Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Raven's River Rest Guest House

Welcome to Raven's River Rest, enjoy your stay in a private house at a prime location on riverfront property. This river has one of the biggest Salmon runs from May-October. Bring your own fishing rod. There's an outdoor fire pit for those cozy nights around the fire. Many of our guests say this is a very serene and peaceful property. Families are welcome as well as your fur babies! There is ample parking. Free WIFI, full kitchen, King size bed, bunk beds with double/ single on top and sofa bed.

Located in the country with trails close by, and only 5 min away from shopping.

Beautiful little cottage on homestead just 12 minutes from Qualicum Beach. Come connect back with the land and walk the gardens on this quaint little farm. We have Nigerian Dwarf Goats to cuddle with and many free-range chickens. We offer farm tours and fresh coffee. Lots to explore in the area and a quick drive to the beach or old growth forest. This cozy retreat is located on my family’s century-old farm at the base of the picturesque Beaufort Range. Bright, modern, and surrounded by open fields and forest, it’s especially well suited for longer stays while you hike, explore the valley, and the rugged west coast beyond. Quiet, and secure, the farm offers a peaceful place to return to each evening. Many solo and female travellers find this space particularly welcoming and safe — a calm setting where nature and ease come together.

The RV is located in our backyard. Just minutes away from the #4 Hwy on route to the West Coast locations of Tofino and Ucluelet only 1:40min away. It is close to Sprout Lake , local hiking trails, great fishing & whale watching. It is a private 25 foot 5th wheel with a queen size bed & single sofa bed. Wi-Fi, bathroom with a shower, kitchen is equipped with cutlery, cups, dishes, pots & pans. We work hard to provide a relaxing enjoyable space where guest can feel welcome & at home.

This is a 2 bedroom, pet friendly suite with full kitchen & laundry. Check in and out as you please with the separate entrance but rest assured, we’re right upstairs if you need anything! Please Note: This space is not appropriate for small children or those with mobility challenges.
