The Cottage - Berry House

Nestled among old heritage gardens on 5 acres near Morpeth in the Hunter Valley, this gorgeous cottage is part of the Berry House Estate built in 1857. Cosy up and unwind, or explore the broader Hunter Valley. The self contained cottage (converted servants quarters), is your own little oasis within the broader grounds of Berry House. Use the pool and sauna, explore the gardens, collect some farm fresh eggs, feed the sheep or just chill. Delightful spot for kids with friendly cat and two dogs.

We have a large comfortable self contained studio apartment, suitable for one couple only, with a private entrance, a small deck, Queen bed, kitchen with induction cooktop, microwave, bar fridge, dishwasher, cooking utensils, cutlery and some condiments supplied. It is in a quiet residential area with a 5 minute walk to our local beach where you can go for a nature walk, swim and watch the sunset. We live upstairs, so you may hear some sounds of life, but the studio is completely private.

We've brought up 5 kids who (have flown the coop) in our home at Shoal Bay, over the last 25 years and are keen to share our place with other families and groups. We have moved into the back shed with our friendly dog, so the whole 5 bedroom house is yours to use. New grandparents, we have all the extras families might need (prams, cots etc) and are set up with Foxtel and board games to keep kids busy. Yard is secure if you need to bring your friendly pooch. Off street parking good for boats.
