De Nagmaalhuijs, Prince Albert

This beautiful home was built in 1880 as a "Nagmaalhuijs" translated house of communion and located directly behind the NG Church. It has been lovingly restored without compromising the traditional Karoo vernacular. The inviting front stoep has benches to enjoy and there is a large impressive great room with traditional high Oregon pine ceilings and floors and a unique kitchenette. The bedroom is beautifully appointed and a separate bathroom offers a Victorian bath, shower and basin.

This stylish house is perfect for group and family trips. Cool off in the pool after exploring the town or cook a delicious meal together in the open plan kitchen. Fully equipped with all you need for a comfortable getaway. We have specifically kept this house off the grid, no television or WiFi. This beautiful self catering cottage is situated on Grootwaterval farm, situated 45 km from Prince Albert. It is a dirt road to the farm. Here one can enjoy the peace and quiet only a Karoo farm can offer. The cottage is built with rock, has a patio, fire-pit and BBQ facilities. It caters for 2 adults.
