On the grounds you have a Hot Tub, Barn, Private Gym, Playground, Fire-pit, Hammock, Acres to Roam, Multiple Decks, etc. A quick ~10 minute walk to the Falling Rock Bridge on the Tye River for fishing, kayaking, tubing, or looking for Otters! Nelson lake has a boat ramp and public fishing just 5 miles away.

A peaceful, quiet, and cozy home on 36 acres of beautiful land that rests just 5 minutes from Hampden-Sydney College and 10 minutes from Longwood University. We want your stay to be comfortable and relaxing, which is why each bed is comfortable and topped with luxurious linens. The house is equipped with 3 big screen tv's. You can also watch the deer from the enclosed front porch or open back deck. Enjoying sitting around the firepit or walking along one of the many paths on the property.

Interested in farming without the commitment of owning one? Come experience a working farm where milking cows and gathering eggs is our way of life. Enjoy the tranquility of the animals and nature around you. Nestled 5 miles outside of Farmville, 3/4 mile from Sandy River Reservoir and 1/4 from Sandy River Retreat there is a bountiful opportunity for outdoor adventures. We are pet friendly and require pets to be attended while out on the property. Please be sure to book indicating a pet.

Rustic Cabin on a 350+ acre Camp

This charming rustic cabin is located at Hat Creek Camp, a 350+ acre camp with over 7 miles of hiking trails and two lakes. The cabin has three rooms, a bedroom, bathroom, and common space/kitchen. The kitchen includes a stove, fridge, blender, coffee maker, and microwave. The bedroom has a Queen bed, and the bathroom has a spacious shower. This cabin is small but very personable, around the camp it is affectionately known as The Pickle. Perfect for quiet getaways in the country.

Ever wanted to know what it felt like to live in a one room log cabin? Now you have the chance! This cabin from the 1840s was meticulously reassembled on a 500 acre farm and sits right next to the James River. Come and enjoy the quiet, the river, and scenery and forget the hustle and bustle of the city. This cabin is off-grid but with solar power lighting and seasonally dependent running water for an outdoor shower and sink nearby.
