Take it easy at this unique, tranquil and romantic getaway. A small and cozy private cottage (23 fm3) located about 4 km away from the town Hella down by the river Hróarslækur. There is a sleeping sofa and also a floor mattress (140 cm) in the open garret attic. There is a kitchenette with basic kitchen utilities, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, induction plate and a small oven. Everything is private, nature all around and space for exploring and hiking. We are 5 living on our property Anna and Siggi (husband and wife), Einar (our son) and Ingveldur, woeking as a lawyer in the town Hvolsvollur. We were farmers but we quit the year 2000. Since 2016 we have been running a small accommodation with 11 studio in renovated outhouses , an old garage, a cowshed and a hay tower. All our studios have a private bathroom and a kitchenette. We provide coffee, tea, oil, salt, pepper and sugar

“House by the lake” Lovingly furnished, with a beautiful view of a lake, volcanoes and the Westman Islands. Here you can relax and listen to the birds chirping. There are many sights nearby and depending on the time of year you can even watch the Northern Lights from your bedroom while lying in bed. And enjoy breakfast in the morning at sunrise.
