For the outdoor enthusiasts the cottage is beside a variety of Slieve Bloom Mountains looped walking trails, and the Slieve Bloom Mountain Biking trails which start in the village, Lough Boora Parklands.

The Swallow's Nest is a tiny barn which sits between Slievenamon & the Comeragh mountains, in the glorious valley known as The Honeylands but is only a ten minute drive from Clonmel, Tipperary's County town.

It is a day trip from all other cities. Locally you can enjoy fantastic walking and mountain bike trails which are only one minute away and also lead you to Kinnitty Castle.

Our home is a great place to base yourself to attend a wedding in Kinnitty castle or go exploring the Slieve bloom mountains and bike trails, walks & horse riding. We are also a short drive from the historical town of Birr where you will find the magnificent Birr Castle, a 15 mins drive to Lough Bora Discovery Park.
