This self contained West End Hideout is part of a converted lower level Family Townhouse located in the heart of Glasgow's famous West End with it's own secure access and is only a stone's throw away from Botanic Gardens.THE LOCAL AREA has a good mix of small independent shops and quality high street names. It is a foodies' haven with two specialist cheese shops, butchers,whole-food shops, numerous delicatessens and stores such as Waitrose and Marks & Spencer are all within a very short walking distance. There are also wonderfully atmospheric second hand book shops, vintage and retro clothing stores, gift shops, jewellers and of course plenty of coffee shops, restaurants and bars.There are a wide range of places to eat from great value budget to widely acclaimed, well established restaurants. Five of Trip Advisor’s top ten restaurants in Glasgow are all within a 15 minute walk. Nearby Ashton Lane is great for visiting during the day and evening for shopping, coffee, eating, drinking and catching a film at the local Grosvenor Cinema. Music and plays can also be found at Oran Mor and Cottiers theatre with various pubs hosting more informal music sessions.

Cats Castle is close to Glasgow, Helensburgh, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. The castle comprises three reception rooms, all with working fireplaces, a family kitchen, pantry, and five bedrooms, including the turret bedroom on the top floor. Dog friendly with nearly an acre of established garden and space to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area whilst being relatively close to Glasgow with good connections and only ~50 minutes from Glasgow Airport. Please bear in mind that there are steps up to up access the cottage from either door: thus, if you have reduced mobility, sadly, Oakdene may not be for you.
