How to add the best photos of your space

Photos help guests picture themselves in your place and decide whether it meets their needs. You need at least 5 photos to get started, and you can add more later.

Most cameras can capture high-quality listing photos, including the one on your smartphone. Follow these tips to provide a clear view of your home:

• Capture your space at its best. Use soft, natural lighting and highlight important details, including popular amenities and unique features.

• Center the subject in the frame. Take horizontal photos and turn on grids to help you line things up. We’ll automatically crop photos into squares to fit in Airbnb’s search results and on your listing.
• Write captions. Add details the photos don’t show. For example, “The dining table expands to seat 10 people.”
