A compelling description is one of the best ways to attract guests and set clear expectations about your place.

Try these tips for creating your description:

• Showcase special features. Share what sets your place apart from others. For example, is the kitchen well stocked? “Whip up a fantastic feast in the fully equipped chef’s kitchen.”
• Be specific. Include practical information that can help guests plan ahead. For example, is the rural cell service spotty? “We’re off-grid, so print our directions before you leave.”
• Share the story of your place. Help guests imagine staying there. For example, did you restore an antique bath? “Let your troubles melt away with a soak in the clawfoot tub.”
