Double or Twin Room A - Hólmavík Guesthouse B&B

Hólmavík Guesthouse a recently opened Bed & Breakfast Guesthouse located right by the old harbor. Upstairs there's a coffeehouse where you can enjoy a beverage while enjoying the fantastic view of the Steingrímsfjord from the balconies, breakfast is also served there. There are also plenty of activities and attractions around, including a swimming pool, museum of witchcraft, horse riding, great hiking trails, whale watching, golf course and many more. This room has a private bathroom & Shower.

Old house in an inspiring fjord

Brekka is a terribly old house with rattling windows, which we try to make a paradise for artists, nature lovers and other crazy people (like us). The house is idyllic situated in the bottom of Gilsfjörður, next to two old barns full of broken cars and other trash. Getting here is a detour of about 2x15km from road 60, the main road crossing the West Fjords. The bumpiness of the road makes it a challenging drive, 4WD is necessary October-May and recommended in summer. The views are amazing.

Thurranes cottage 3

The cottages at Thurranes are 43 square meters. Two bedrooms, each with a double bed and a sleeping loft that fits 2 adults. The house can accommodate 6 adults. Bed linen and towels are included in the price. The house is equipped with a kitchen, where you find a little stove, a sink, a microwave and refrigerator. The living room has a couch and a small TV set. A small bathroom with a shower. Hot water, central heating but no WiFi A private hot tub, chairs and a gas BBQ are on the deck.

Friendly Farmhouse Víðidalsá, room 31

A friendly old farmhouse built in 1926, that has been renovated. There are no animals anymore except Loppa the dog, but a horse rental is only a 2 minutes walk. A peaceful surrounding with a crystal clear salmon river (a fishing license needed) right by the house. Located in the countryside close only a 2-3 minutes drive from Hólmavík village, which has several attractions, an excellent geothermal pool, a supermarket, a brewery and a couple of good restaurants. Guesthouse Nyp - Double room 2 floor w/shared bath

For all who prefer remote surroundings and quiet nature. Two beds in the room (double or single at your choice), full bedding, and breakfast are available. The room has great views! Cooking facilities for guests. If contacted in advance, we could make you dinner with our amazing menu that we have. A shared living room/breakfast room, shared bathroom with a shower. The former barn is a shared space as well - with a big window facing Breiðafjörður Bay.

Glaðheimar Guesthouse

Glaðheimar is located in Króksfjarðarnes a perfect location before exploring Westfjords. Back in the day Glaðheimar was an Old post office and just across the rode was the main store for farmers and people in the area which has now a Handcraft marked. The view over Breiðafjörður from the house is amazing and the sun will not set until 23 and watching the sunset is just breathtaking

Skarðsá is 215 km away from Reykjavík. 3 hours drive in a beautiful landscape.

Live like locals in an original house in the west!

A beautiful original Icelandic house out in the country side. An ideal location to explore the West fjords! The house has three bedrooms and a living room, a bathroom with shower and well equipped kitchen with dining area. The house is a family summerhouse, but was originally built by our grandfather and grandmother, who lived there for most of their lives.

Beautiful house just 50 m from the sea

There are six sleeping places in the house. Two bedrooms, one with double bed and the other with two single beds. Sleeping couch, double, is in the living room. Kitchen is with all normal utilities. With a dishwasher and extra large fridge Living room and dining room are in the same space. Door from the living room is out to the terrace.

Hólmavík is a very beautiful fishing town. It is in the western part of Iceland, by Steingrímsfjörður. It serves as a centre of commerce in the north west and has 375 inhabitants. Hólmavík is home to the Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft.
