Many of the attractions are within 1 one-hour drive from the cottage, e.g. the Þingvellir National Park, which is on the way to Gullfoss and Geysir. Hot tub available upon request for €15 per day.

The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.

A lakeside cabin at the foot of Medalfell mountain with direct access to the lake. A peaceful place with a beautiful lakeview where you can relax to the gentle sounds of the water. On the terrace is a barrel sauna with a beautiful view over the lake. The surrounding area is full of nature and a good starting point for little hikes. Good location for day trips to Snæfellsnes and the Golden Circle. During the winter time is a good chance of seeing the Northern lights (Aurora Borealis).

Grafarholt and Úlfarsárdalur is a district in Reykjavík that covers Úlfarsárdalur and Grafarholt. The district is bordered by Vesturlandsvegur, Úlfarsá to the municipal border of Mosfellsbær, to the north and east by the municipal border to and around Úlfarsfell to Vesturlandsvegur. There is one lake in Grafarholt and it is called Reynisvatn. Úlfarsá flows through the border of Úlfarsárdalur and Grafarholt and then turns into Korpúlfsstaðaá at Vesturlandsvegur.

The house is very close to the main road heading down town. Supermarket/petrol station is located in 2 minutes walk. The house is very cosy with hot tub that is always ready to use. Big and beutiful patio is facing south.
