Enjoy this beautiful lakefront property with fun things to do in any season. Backwoods lodge is perfect for large gatherings as there are two cabins on the property for your use. There is a pontoon boat included in your stay (there is NO public boat launch on this lake)! Backwoods Lodge is your home away from home with activities such as a poker table, pool table, fire pit, paddle board, canoe, volleyball court, corn hole, private lake access, as well as snowmobile trails. Furry friends welcome!

Northwoods Lakeside Cabin • Warm, Cozy, Relaxing

Welcome to your secluded lakefront retreat nestled on a peaceful peninsula in the heart of Wisconsin’s Northwoods. Surrounded by water, this cozy cabin offers uninterrupted views, private lakeside docks, and direct access to a pristine lake. Wake up to the call of loons, watch osprey soar overhead, and smile as ducks paddle past the dock in the early morning light. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the lake’s quiet bays—perfect for peaceful paddles, wildlife watching, and moments of pure stillness.

The Timberjack

Although it's a rustic homage to the lumberjacks and jills of yesteryear, this cabin includes many of the comforts we now enjoy including a queen bed, kitchenette with fridge, hot water, AC/heat, a Keurig coffeemaker, smart TV and charcoal grill. The Timberjack is surrounded by trees right on Lake Hayward and close to downtown Hayward. Launch your canoe just steps from the cabin, walk into town for lunch, or go hiking or skiing on the nearby trails, this cabin is nestled in the ideal location!

The Hayward House is your comfortable home retreat close to downtown Hayward on 2+acres with a spacious living room. ATV right from the house! Plenty of parking for anything - boats, snowmobile & atv trailers. 1 mile to Downtown Hayward. 5 miles from Hatchery Creek for the CAMBA singletrack and Birkie Trail. Less than 1 mile from the start of the Chequamegon 40 and the Birkie Finish Line! Wifi, Smart TV (YouTubeTV, Netflix, Disney+, Amazon), washer & dryer. New heating and central a/c system.

Nordic Lake Cabin : Sauna/Hot Tub/Pontoon Rental

We finished building this modern Scandinavian cabin in spring 2020. It’s been featured in Vogue and on Magnolia Network. The cabin sits at the end of the road on a private lot with a perfect view of sunsets over the nature side of the lake. Drive past farm fields, into the woods, and onto our private gravel road, arriving at the driveway. Watch loons, tundra swans, eagles, beavers and deer while you relax by the lake. Pontoon boat rental is available as an add on! Pets welcome for a $90 fee!

Hunt Hill's Rustic Log Cabin

Welcome to Hunt Hill Nature Center! We are a public, non-profit learning center and nature sanctuary. Our historic Log Cabin is nearly a century old and offers a peaceful retreat in the woods. All the furniture was updated in 2018. The Log Cabin is located just outside of the main camp, settled on top of a hill overlooking pristine forest habitat. Nearby towns offer additional entertainment or relax in our quiet setting while reading a good book in front of the stone fireplace.
