The Story House

Between the lights of Portland and the slopes of Mt. Hood stands a whimsical woods of giant firs, feathery cedars and old mossy maples. Midst a maze of paths and ferns is a cozy cabin full of delightful art. Browse the uncommon birdhouses and their stories. Just steps outside the French doors is a lighted path to the bathhouse (the only bathroom) with toilet, shower, clawfoot tub and washer/dryer. Walk the paths, soak in the hot tub and end your day in the peace and quiet of a private cabin.

Barlow Haus

Welcome to Barlow Haus, a secluded cabin nestled on 2 acres of forest in Brightwood, OR, at the base of Mt. Hood. Immerse yourself in the beauty of this private woodland retreat, where nature meets thoughtful design. The property boasts an inviting backyard complete with a hot tub, sauna, fire pit, BBQ, and ample seating for gatherings. The cabin has been meticulously restored and enhanced with new finishes and modern amenities, offering a seamless blend of cottage charm & contemporary comfort.

The Pines & Cherries Cabin Retreat in the Gorge

Enjoy quiet personal time or a romantic getaway at this cozy and rustic Columbia River Gorge log cabin, located in the woods just 25 mins from the PDX. Fill your days with hiking, berry picking or fishing. Then curl up by the fire in an intimate setting, listen to the birds from the front porch, or get your best writing done at the vintage desk! Supplies of tea, coffee and chocolate provided. Queen size bedroom loft with a trundle bed downstairs. Amenities include indoor shower and kitchenette.

Little Explorer - The perfect mountain escape.

Located near the end of a quiet dead end road in Welches, Oregon. Short path to Sandy River. Easy access to HWY 26 and only 15 minutes to Government Camp or Sandy Ridge mountain biking. Enjoy the relaxing surroundings while staying in a newly renovated cabin with all the comforts of home. 2 night min. stay seasonally/Fri/Sat but possibly accept a 1 night stay...just ask. There are no spaced spaces. There will be no interaction. If you're OK with this, please proceed! Imagine relaxing in the hot tub under the stars listening to the seasonal stream babble below!

Venture across the deck and have your coffee on a big rock by the river. Play on Mt. Hood, explore the shops in town, or just watch the Sandy roll by from the cozy sofa. Relax in the hot tub overlooking the river. Sit by the fireplace with your pup. Start a movie on the projector in the bunk room. Wake up to the river view from the king size bed upstairs or downstairs sunroom. Repeat. Just under an hour from Portland, 35 mins to Timberline, 10 mins to Mt Hood National Forest.
