Over 300 acres of privately owned land by the host plus over 700 acres of attached public crown lots accessible through private holdings, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts/nature lovers, as a launch pad into Algonquin Park, or as a quite retreat into the forest. Winter Activities and Uses Include: snowmobiling, ice fishing at a large selection of local lakes, snow shoeing etc.

Bardo Cabins - Pine Cabin

One of Bardo Cabins' two, four-season sister-cabins; Pine Cabin is quietly nestled below a granite outcrop among towering old pines on the beautiful, quiet, fifteen acre Dube Lake. Hike, bike, snowshoe or ski the private two kilometers of trails, dive and sunbathe from your own floating dock or wade at a nearby sandy shore, relax bug-free on the screened-in porch listening to the sounds of Bardo's surrounding ten acres of mixed old growth forest, or venture beyond to nearby amenities.

Ben Nevis House - relaxing yurt stay

Ben Nevis House is one of our 3 year round yurts situated in Kearney, ON, in the beautiful Almaguin Highlands. Close to Algonquin Park, Arrowhead Provincial Park and central to many beautiful walking/ATV/Cycle/cross country skiing and Sledding trails. We are situated across from The Magnetawan river- great for fishing, and just 5 minutes from the public beach, boat launch and dock. Close to all that nature has to offer, let your adventure begin in the 'biggest little town' in Ontario!

This 100 sq. ft. tiny A-Frame offers cozy comfort with two stackable twin beds that convert into a queen (side-by-side) when desired. Welcome to our four season bunkie retreat on the river. Leave the world behind and seek comfort and peace at Riverside Ranch. Imagine starting your day reconnecting with nature amidst wooded walking trails. Along your walk you see geese swimming in the river, goats exploring the woods, and Highland cattle grazing in the pasture. Upon return, you open the door to the crackle & pop of a toasty wood burning sauna, followed by an icy cold plunge in the river. *No air-conditioning*

Come experience this cozy, off-grid escape in a magical old-growth forest. A pretty lake is just a 10 minute walk down the lane which is excellent for swimming, fishing and boating. You can hike the many trails and see only the wildlife. Adventure and romance awaits you! Snuggle up by the wood stove. Fresh bedding and linens are provided for you on the very comfortable beds and soft towels provided for the warm outdoor shower. The kitchen has all the amenities you need.
