Fabia was a wonderful host.. Everything was prepared for us in advance and she made sure all details were discussed prior to out arrival.. Amazing house in such beautiful area we are sure to go back! Perfect for a peaceful romantic stay away from the rush of the city.. Bring your own food the shop has little in stock :)
Fabia's house (or tower, more accurately) is a beautiful and spotless home, an ancient tower renovated to a high standard, set in a garden, in the middle of a small village, next to a river and forest. The location is excellent, and only on a few days was there any noise at all from the airport. There is a small shop in the village open in the mornings, or a large supermarket in the next town, a couple of restaurants in the village, and a short drive away there is a very good pizzeria. We stayed there for two weeks at the beginning of August - probably close to the hottest time of the year, and whilst the living areas are still reasonably comfortable, the bedroom which is on the third floor was very hot some nights - when the outdoor temperature never fell, or when there was no breeze. Point to note: We did notice that the home usually had a dog.
We have spent 5 days at Fabia's place this August. Just great and lovely! We realy enjoied the quiteness of the area. The village is small but very well furnished in daily needs at the single shop and the restaurant. The house is big ennough for 1 or even 2couples, there are 2 bathrooms. The garden is fantastic sharing shadows and sunny places, at our best convinience according to the summer heat... The house is excellent, very clean and Fabia is ready to spend time enough to answer our questions, mails,... We just wish to spend further holidays there very soon... Thank you Fabia
Fabia is a fantastic host. She'd carefully prepared everything for us, going as far as buying fresh coffee, bread and an entire bowl of fruits for our stay. Fabia's Romanica Tower is just amazing: it's actually a small villa, with a sizable garden that comes with sun beds, hamoc and an entire set of garden furniture. Perfect for a romantic and relaxed stay.
