Knut and Lena were very welcoming, making their traditional wooden farmhouse home completely available to us. They offered us food when we arrived, and told us to make ourselves at home. The bedroom was lovely, with a wonderful view out over their small farm, and a large comfortable bed. We had a lovely evening chatting about all sorts of things. In the morning, they had prepared an excellent breakfast in their homely living room / kitchen. It was a perfect last day of our holiday on Norway.

We absolutely loved our stay with Knut and his family! Hands down the most generous people we've ever met. We picked Knut's house as it was a traditional Norwegian barn house and a good location whilst on our hiking trip around Bergen. There’s also a bus to Bergen which runs quite regularly. Knut offered us to stay in their cabin in the mountains and of course we had to say yes, in return we had to feed a lamb… perfect! Their cabin was very homely. He also offered us a trip on their little boat. I’d recommend this place to other travellers who are on hiking trips, the views from the house are also very nice. You’ll also be greeted by lots of animals, we had the pleasure of meeting the two newly hatched chicks. Thank you for letting us stay, we loved it. Highlight of our trip 

Traveled to Norway with 13 son for a long fishing weekend: Knut and his family were incredibly gracious and helpful hosts. Genuinely wanted to ensure we had a pleasant stay, informative with knowledge on the area, and great fishing guides. The house is charming and very comfortable - a working farm with livestock - a wonderful lake on the property with trout - a quick walk down to the edge of the Samnanger Fjord which is breathtaking as are all the ones in Norway. Knut took us out on his boat which was perfect for our trip - we felt like cruise ship passengers as our every need was thought of and provided. Knut is very genuine - we could tell he was delighted to have us visit with his family, and truly wanted to make our first trip to Norway a memorable one. It felt liek we were staying with family. We will return next summer for sure - caught lots of Pollack, and saw and did things we never would have known about from guide books or internet research - staying with a local resident is the way to go. We had great conversation over meals on life in Norway, learned some Norwegian language, and ate local cuisine. Norwegian folks are incredibly friendly, and Knut and his family left a wonderful impression which will bring us back to Norway again. Tusen takk!
