We had a short stay at Fon and George's place during our multi-country trip and we wish we had more time to enjoy their space. It's located in a beautiful part of Pai, away from the crowds and surrounded by paddy fields. The little sitting area nearby the pond is perfect for sipping morning coffee and reading, the bird songs make it even more serene. The indoor spaces are tastefully decorated yet it has the simplicity of a Northern Thailand village. Kitchen is fully equipped and we made breakfasts on both days. There are several spots a short walk away to watch a beautiful sunset or the foggy clouds that descend on the valley during the morning. Fon helped us get motorbike which we greatly appreciate. Our 2 days at their place were absolutely blissful and we cannot wait to come back here for a longer stay.

Our stay the private lake villa was incredible, hands down my favorite Airbnb I’ve stayed in! Fon and George are the nicest and most inspiring people. The house was superb, really great vibe and really private, surrounded by nature. It looks even better than in the pictures. And on their farm they make this amazing sort of healthy cordial that’s also available in the villa, so cool! Besides that they make all sorts of great things on their farm, like packets of dehydrated organic banana snacks that they farm themselves, which were so tasty they were addictive. There was so much to do around the villa as well, Fon gave us a private Asthanga yoga class jn their pagoda which was one of the best classes I’ve had in my life. She’s really creative and makes these amazing crafts and beautiful jewelry. We also were there when rice was being harvested, which we could help with. This was an one of a kind and nice experience! They are the kindest and most helpful people ever, 100/10 recommend.

All the other reviews are not exaggerating. There are so many aspects that made this my best and most wholesome experience, that it is hard to list and describe them all. Simply put: If this place is available, just book it and you will not regret it.

Don’t hesitate to book this Airbnb! We stayed at Fon & George’s place for 3 nights and loved every second of it. They were beyond helpful and responsive. They helped with getting rides to Pai/elsewhere, and showed us around local spots. They were the perfect balance of supporting us and giving us our own space. I highly recommend taking them up on a meal or two - Fon’s cooking was delicious. This gem of a place is a quiet, peaceful oasis away (but still close, a 10 min drive) from the bustle of Pai. We hope to be back in the future, thank you Fon & George!
