This house was a great vacation rental that made it so easy to enjoy the mountain or kirkwood resort! It was an amazing house for a group of friends to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

I have stayed at many properties in Kirkwood over the years, and I have to say that the "gingerbread house", as it is colloquially known in Kirkwood, is my favourite place to stay. The chalet is well designed, well equipped, and in a lovely location. While many properties in Kirkwood are quite dated (70's and 80's condos, 90's Tahoe McMansions), Chris and Sandra's place has a timeless feel. The floorplan is very well thought out, with a large kitchen and living area on the main level overlooking the meadow, three bedrooms below, and a large kids' loft above. The place is spacious, easily accommodating three families. The chalet is well equipped and meticulously organized. The kitchen has every implement you could possibly need to cook a meal. There is a washer and dryer in the utility room so no need to pack a bunch of clothes for a longer stay. There are plenty of sleds in the garage for kids to have fun sliding down the hill into the meadow below. I highly recommend this place.

The house is perfectly located on the East Meadows of Kirkwood, surrounded by trees and beautiful views of the mountains. Cozy chalet vibes with the amazing wood stove, the house has all the amenities and everything is well thought out and fully equipped. Easy access to the skiing with a convenient shuttle or just drive to the parking lot. Sledding with the kids right in the backyard! Chris was super responsive and helpful, we all had a wonderful time and great snow!!!

The place is as described and steps from the lifts. Chris (host) is very easy to get in touch with and very helpful. It's kid friendly with games and a pack n play as well.

Beautiful, spacious and very comfortable chalet with gorgeous views. The location in the East meadow was very quiet, removed from the bustle of the resort itself. But the door to village shuttle made getting to the slopes so convenient and easy. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked as well.
