We really enjoyed the Riad Balkisse, with tradition and heritage. Mariam, Omar and Attica were excellent hosts. My advice is to take their advice. Take the airport transfer deal. Mohamed was also very good. Driving in Marrakesh is a very special skill! He takes you direct to the Riad where one of the hosts meets you. You do not find these places easy, even with mobile phone technology. We arrived in the evening and took the meal offered which was excellent , in fact we had another meal on another night as well, and Attica (the cook) shared the recipe with us. The location is very good in our opinion, just 4 to 5 mins walk to the square, and yet far enough away to give some tranquillity. Marrakesh is quite a 'mad' place to be experienced. You can change euros and Sterling easily in the market square , or pay for things in the Riad with either. We also did a day trip to Ourika , which includes a stop at a Berber village. Try and keep some small notes or coins for the children.

Le ryad est parfaitement placé, très proche de la place Jemaa El Fna. Myriam est d’une gentillesse et d’un accueil extraordinaire, merci à elle, nous ne manquerons pas d’y retourner à notre prochain passage sur Marrakech !
