真正的大森林里的小木屋，走路即可到大河边，激流险滩景色一流。上山几步可见老铁路，废弃的站台很好玩儿。孩子会非常开心。而且这里很有历史，当年淘金热时的一些故事很有趣。缺点：GPS找不到，幸亏有google map才找到。没有手机信号（也许是优点，逼迫自己彻底放松的好办法）。夜里过火车略有点吵。

临时决定在memorial day去lassen volcanic national park度周末，这家距离Lassen有将近100miles，比较远。最近的subway之类的餐厅也要10mile。 当天晚上九点多到了，实在是很饿没有晚饭吃。房东非常热情，从冰箱里面拿出食材给我们做墨西哥卷饼。 吃完还和房东的大家庭一起在庭院烤着篝火看星星 房间没有很干净也没有很大，但是体验的就是美国人的好客和热情，非常值得推荐的幽静度假屋。 Tips: 这边除了verizon，是搜不到其他运营商的手机信号的。所以我们当天晚上就是没有wifi没有手机信号的度过了。

The Miner is a one-room cabin (with bathroom) that's part of a group of a few cabins next to the Paxton Lodge. It's a tidy and cozy place in the beautiful setting of a hillside pine grove in the Feather River Canyon. Because of damage from the Dixie Fire, generators are used to supply power to the property. I don't find them obtrusive at all, but visitors should be aware of them. A few trains will pass through the night on the railroad further up the hillside. Traffic on Highway 70 is down at the bottom of the canyon and across the river. The kitchenette in the cabin and a patio with grill provide great options for eating in, while nearby Quincy has a few nice breweries and restaurants. The scenery is almost incomparably grand, and the community is working hard to recover after the fire and the landslides that continue in its aftermath. Plus Jill is a great host who's very responsive. Highly recommended!

Perfect spot to bring in the New Year. Beautiful, clean and relaxing. We enjoyed being able to bring our dogs along as well. Will come back!
