Location was good and place was clean however, that’s where the positives ended. I received confirmation of my booking however the host did not respond in any way to my multiple emails requesting checkin information and the phone number did not work. Check-in time passed and I still had nothing. I involved Air Bnb and I received the codes 2 hours after checkin time with no apology or acknowledgement that all my previous messages had been ignored and I was getting access to the property more than 2 hours late. The photos are of the same place but the apartment furniture is now looking much older and very tired. Eg the lovely bright sitting room has the same lounge but it now covered in a dark brown cover, no rug and no appeal. The bed linen and towels are worn and tired and the single mattress is so worn out that the springs press through making a good night sleep impossible. Also, this is the only Airbnb I’ve stayed at that doesn’t provide any soap or body wash for the shower.

The place is advertised as sleeping for 5 people. I am sorry but it can only sleep a maximum of 3. One double bed and a single. I would hate to sleep on the sofa. It’s akin to sleeping on airport seats. The kitchen is great but could do with more than 2 pots. The place could do with a reverberation with chipped paint on splintered doors and rusty hinges but over all it was a great place to stay. The location was excellent and the air con and washer dryer and lift was a bonus. We went up onto the terrace to have a look but did not use it. Instructions how to use the dryer would be better. The “welcoming” note was not very welcoming. Don’t do this don’t do that don’t be naughty and instructions on what to do if you get robbed. Despite the negative points I would definitely stay here again now that I know what to expect.

Matched all the pictures and it was spotless, only a short walk from La Sagrada and the metro, quiet setting with great roof terrace views, highly recommended to everyone visiting!
