Fully equipped, light and airy, spacious (85 metres square) open-plan apartment with all mod cons. Situated on the 3rd floor at La Maison des Beaux Arts with a birds-eye view of the Bandiat valley. The perfect accommodation for business travellers, house hunters or for exploring the delights of the Perigord Vert National Park. Situated in Nontron town centre opposite the post office with easy access to shops and supermarkets, bars and restaurants, banks and estate agents. Perigueux is 53 km away, Brantome 21km, Angouleme 60km, and Limoges 75km. Angouleme, Perigueux, Limoges and Thiviers have railway stations. There is also the International Airport at Limoges (69km) and Bergerac (96km).

Merci Délia et Mike pour votre accueil chaleureux !! L'appartement est fidèle à la description, un havre de paix au 3ème étage avec la vue sur la ville de Nontron d'un côté et la vue sur la campagne environnante de l'autre côté. La propreté est irréprochable. Il y a de l'espace et la lumière naturelle est bien présente grâce aux nombreuses fenêtres. La décoration est top, des tapis sur toute la partie salon rendent l'atmosphère chaleureuse. L'espace cuisine est très bien équipé. Tous les services sont accessibles à pied, c'est très pratique. Pour l'environnement : dans Nontron même n'hésitez pas à parcourir le chemin des arts, flâner dans la vieille ville... aux alentours de nombreux petits villages très charmants. Et bien sûr, ne pas oublier la célèbre coutellerie Nontronnaise ! Merci encore.

Ce séjour chez Delia a été un vrai plaisir. Son appartement est très confortable, silencieux et très bien aménagé. Il est également bien situé, proche des commerces et des restaurants. C'est aussi un bon point de départ pour visiter la région ou accéder à des activités (Nontron est par exemple situé sur le tracé de la Flow Velo). Merci encore à Delia pour son accueil !
L'appartement est parfait, très propre et Delia est une super hôte! La petite ville de Nontron rend le tout dès plus appréciables, nous avons passer un très bon séjour sur place!

Nontron is in the Northern Dordogne in the area known as Perigord Vert or Green Perigord so named for its rolling green fields and lush countryside. The town sits in the middle of the beautiful Perigord-Limousin Regional National Park and is surrounded by natural beauty. Set high the town has some excellent views over the valley of Bandiat. Nontron is a sub-prefecture for the Northern Dordogne and the official centre.
This now peaceful town has a long and tumultuous history. First settled in the 1100’s it has been sacked many times over the years including by the Saracens in the 7th century and the Normans in the 9th century.
Nontron has a number of interesting buildings to see with the main part of the town set around a large square.
Nontron is well known for its knife making the methods and techniques of which have remained virtually unchanged since the fifteenth century. The workshop where they are hand made by local craftsman is the oldest continually running cutlery forged in France.

I am now retired in Nontron with my husband , Michael, who is a brocanteur.I love welcoming our guests to La Maison, painting in my studio, exhibiting, travelling, and cooking .
