Michael is a fantasic host, very friendly, kind, full of stories and very knowledgable about the area. His thatched cottage is a cozy and welcoming place great for rest and relaxation. Michart went out of his way to ensure we knew as much as possible about where my mothers family came from. He took us to possible locations of my mothers granfathers land and intoduced us to locals that had more stories to share. I would highly recommend Nanny Murphy's Cottage and would hope to go back again someday.

Our family had an absolutely lovely time at the cottage. It was so nice to relax around the peat fueled fire after a busy day out and discuss the days events or what we were going to do the next day. Michael was a treasure trove of information and made some much appreciated suggestions of things we could do in the area and even at our next stop in Cork. This place is definitely a gem. The only regret is that we weren't able to stay longer. We highly recommend the authentic experience of Nanny Murphy's Cottage.

Michael is an incredibly warm and friendly host with a mountain of information and stories on all things Irish. We even discovered he has an amazing singing voice and sung us a wonderful rendition of a beautiful Irish ballad. The cottage is gorgeous and very traditional and provides all the basics for a comfortable, stay even in the midst of winter. Highly recommended.

We had a great at Nanny Murphy's cottage. It was very unique and interesting place. The house was warm and cosy and Michael the host was very friendly and welcoming. He has lots of local knowledge and recommendations for things to do.
