The people of Haute-Garonne have always loved cycling, and over 190 km of bike paths have been established, which allow everyone - families, children and competitive or weekend cyclists - to go on long tours in safety. Starting from Carbonne, Salles-sur-Garonne or Saint-Julien-sur-Garonne, there is a clearly-marked, safe cycling trail beside the Garonne river.
Via Garona (GR861) is the new, 170-kilometre, hiking trail along the Garonne river that connects the sites of Saint-Jacques de Compostelle between Toulouse (Basilica of Saint-Sernin) and Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges (Cathedral of Our Lady). It crosses 41 communes, all located in Haute-Garonne.

自我介绍
I just love people, hence my heart is open to guests to share my lovely French home. After many years in medicine, and with my African heart, you are always welcome. I have worked mainly in Rehabilitative and Orthopaedic medicine in Southern Africa, including Zambia and Swaziland. My family still reside there, so I visit frequently. My great love is Music. I devote many hours to playing the piano, and consider myself a serious amateur. You are welcome to listen to me play and to join in. I am currently revisiting some significant novels, and have just re-read Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice. The next book will be a French classic. Geoff and I ran a small farm in Swaziland, with a mango orchard and beef cattle. We are now transferring those skills to manage the land here according to permaculture principles. You are welcome to join in. We have a core belief in the importance of building community; hence our support for the Collaborative Community.
