Pinares is a residential area, 15 minutes drive from Punta, the Shopping and Casinos. Mansa Beach is perfect for getting in touch with nature. You can walk many miles by the strolling way, always looking at the sea. When the sun sets, the air is filled with the smell of pine trees. Full moon is spectacular, you will see your shadow in the sand! Small supermarket, bakery, chemist´s and gas station in the area, not many blocks away.

I suggest bringing/renting a car, as transfers are very expensive and Punta has lots of beautiful places to see (Punta Ballena, José Ignacio, La Barra, etc.) If you love art, seek through local paitings in La Barra, and if you like sculptures, visit Atchugarry´s Foundation. Go shopping in 20th Street, Gorlero Avenue and Punta Shopping Center. Eat excellent sea food and visit the port. Try uruguayan meat too and the classic "Chivito". And feel the local experience by cooking your favourite recipe in your own kitchen.
