The description is exactly accurate. The apartment features a long dining table that is so long you can use one half for “classwork” and the other half for dining. The artwork is both unique and also gives “charm” to the environment. The kitchen, TV and sound system are all as described in his description. Plus, the leather couch and lounge chair are very comfortable. There’s a roomy closet with many hangers and shelves. The internet is fast enough to stream videos. The main room has windows that run the length of the room and overlook the inner courtyard which is full of huge bamboo, you can draw the blackout curtains when you want it to be dark. Because the apartment is located inside the courtyard it is amazing quiet. The washer/dryer is especially handy. Finally, the immediate and surrounding neighborhood has many wonderful restaurants and it’s a 2-3 block walk to the S-Bahn or Tram if you want to venture further. And Marcus is a wonderful host!

Marcus (and his associate Kathleen) was (were) very helpful to me. When I arrived, without my baggage, Kathleen called the Airport authorities to make sure that they'd be sending the baggage to the right place; and when the wifi went off in the building one day, Marcus fixed it promptly. All in all, they were excellent hosts! This is a great apartment with a great location: in the heart of Berlin (the Scheunenviertel), on a street with a lot of activity (cafes, restaurants, galleries, people walking around, etc.). But the apartment is set back in a courtyard so that you don't hear or see any street activity. It is roomy for one or two people. I highly recommend this apartment, and hope to stay there again on my next visit to Berlin.

Ein wunderschönes Luft in einer hippen Gegend: Restaurants, Bars, Shopping, alles ums Eck! Tolle, verlässliche Gastgeber, eine blitzsaubere Wohnung, in die man am liebsten gleich einziehen würde, sehr ruhige Lage (da Hinterhaus)! Alles bestens! Komme bestimmt wieder!
