This really is a local retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud, but just 3km away, which can be walked through the rice field pathway. Pool is lovely to use and all the bedrooms are equally comfortable as if they were the principal bedroom. The staff are permanent and are on hand to help with any of your needs. A simply perfect stay!

Our family absolutely loved our stay at Villa Gajah. Kids and parents loved the pool, the views are incredible, and our hosts Wayan and Suri were just delightful in every respect - friendly, helpful, responsive, and great cooks. I cannot recommend Villa Gajah highly enough for a relaxing private stay in the mountains of Ubud. It’s not walking distance to Ubud central - but that just makes it all the better. It’s a true haven, an escape from the hustle and bustle.

Het huis is fantastisch! Mooi sfeervol ingericht, fijne kamers en badkamers. Heerlijk zwembad, twee terrassen buiten, prachtig uitzicht. Personeel is geweldig, elke dag heerlijk ontbijt en schoonmaak. Ritjes naar Ubud en elders worden verzorgt door Putu en zijn vrouw waar we heel blij mee waren.

Fabrice was easy to contact and deal with. the hosts Wayan and suri were fantastic they were very hospitable to deal with. we look forward to going back again.
