The Portage Inn is an outstanding place to spend a summer weekend, especially for big groups. You have the privacy of your own room and ensuite bathroom, along with lots of common area space to enjoy with friends and family. Really pretty waterfront, tons of character around the Inn and even more options for entertainment that keep kids, adults and adult-kids busy without ever leaving the property.
Our family fell in love with this place, the views and the overall hospitality. Spacious cottage, clean rooms, gorgeous patio, amenities at the beach and plenty of front and backyard to play in. It was really easy to communicate with Nancy, she is warm and professional. Our entire trip was headache free and no surprises because of how helpful Nancy and her team were in communicating what we should expect and how to come prepared. Thanks Nancy, can’t wait to come back again.
A large group of us went up for a weekend of golf, and it was wonderful. The inn is just as advertised and more, a full commercial kitchen which is ideal for large groups, each room has its own bathroom which is important with large groups. The great room was exceptional and the patio/fire pit area were ideal for our group. What was really nice was Nancy's thorough and personal touch, Nancy makes sure that nothing you would need is missed, personally greeting you when you arrive and saying good bye when you leave. Very nice property and would recommend for any large group or family.
We had a great stay at the Portage Inn. Lots of room for our 24 guests to play and relax. The kids had a blast on the beach with the paddleboats and floating dock. Kitchen was spacious and everything was clean.
My family and I wanted to go to a quiet place where we could all be together, hiking, eating and enjoying each others company. Our group consisted of seniors, babies and everything in between...and the house was suitable for all. The house had ample space and was warm and charming the moment you walked in. Nancy was a wonderful host and made sure we felt welcome. We all especially enjoyed the pool table, and hike to "crystal mountain" is a must! We would happily stay at this special property again:)
