This place feels like it came out of a fairy tale! The location is just breath taking, with views to the beautiful mountains of Queenstown, and a short drive away from many great hiking points. Sue's house is so well equipped, clean and comfortable, and the beautiful style and decoration added a lot of charm. But above all, Sue is the best host you can wish for. She is so attentive, kind and always ready to help. We stayed for over a week and at the end it already felt like home. Hope to come back some day!

It is hard to find words to describe how beautiful and magical my short stay was at the Art Barn Loft. It was my first stop in New Zealand after landing at the Queenstown airport and it felt like I had walked into a dream -from the gorgeous grounds with ponds and trees and flowers to the large antlered deer greeting me. Suzanne was fantastic, providing fresh milk and coffee and even apple ginger muffins for the morning. And then as I described how wiped out I was and wondered where I should get a quick dinner, she went back to her kitchen and brought me some freshly made pumpkin soup. I couldn't believe it, and this was just the first hour. The Art Barn Loft is one of the most unique places I have ever stayed, and definitely one of my favorites in the 2 decades I have used airbnb. Open, warm, comfortable, clean, views towards deer - I felt like I was in my own private villa in Tuscany, surrounded by pristine sunny nature beauty, and friendly staff. And so peaceful and quiet. Loved it!!

I had a very pleasant couple of nights at Suzanne’s place—the setting was incredibly peaceful, and the welcome by Pru and Baby (Suzanne was out of town) was perfect. I’m looking forward to the possibility of making a longer stay soon.
