Accueil correct avec une petite attention fort sympathique Maison très bien équipée en matériel Dommage qu'il n'y ait aucune épicerie de base (sel, poivre, sucre, vinaigrette...) ou même éponge La location des draps nous a paru chère L'emplacement du logement est proche de la route qui est relativement passante Nous avons un agréable séjour dans cette charmante maisonnette.

Le logement est agréable et très fonctionnel, bien situé pour découvrir la région. Très bon accueil, chaleureux et attentionné ( bouteille de bienvenue, décoration spécial Noël ...) Nous avons pu nous ressourcer idéalement malgré une météo mitigée.

We had a lovely stay here and highly recommend. Communications with Jean-Jacques were helpful and prompt, and he greeted us personally with his wife at the property, which is in a great location for exploring the area (beaches, forest walks, quaint villages, Cognac country and beautiful medieval towns such as Saintes). The village of Arces is pretty, rural and friendly, and if you are taking a dog, has endless fantastic walks a few moments from the house. There's a boulangerie/village shop around the corner and a great restaurant, The Cottage, within easy walking distance. The house is superbly well-equipped (dishwasher, barbecue, endless crockery and cooking equipment, nespresso machine) and immaculately clean. Secure garden for your dog. Nice touches include a bottle of Pinneau (local grape must/Cognac aperitif) in the fridge, and some info leaflets etc. in English. But for us, the best thing was the hosts: so helpful. They live next door, and are so kind: our dog was taken ill late one night and they arranged an emergency appointment with a local vet just two miles away. She was very poorly and it was so stressful, so we are really grateful for hosts going above and beyond the call of duty. A great little house.
