This cedar shingled cape house is situated in a quiet cove off of the Lighthouse Route. It comes with a well-appointed kitchen, new deck and incredible ocean views. It also has a new backyard wood-fired sauna where you can watch the moon rise and let your everyday stress melt away. This home is a perfect base for enjoying local beaches, ocean sports and delicious cafés. This area of the South Shore has it all - and we're happy to share it with you. Ocean views are best from the kitchen, Master bedroom and new wood-fired sauna. The house generally is bright and cozy, with a new Pacific Energy wood stove (along with a gas furnace - no need for cold mornings!). Two bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen bed. The kitchen is well-appointed, with everything you need to cook up amazing meals (including both charcoal and gas BBQs). There is both a dining room & patio for indoor & outdoor dining. Our newly built timber-frame wood-fired sauna is also available for you to use, and the ocean is a short 2min walk away if you fancy a dip to cool down!

Sarah & Scotty has a lovely house and are great hoasts. Very welcoming, friendly and gave us lots of tips of what to do in the area. We had a great stay there!
Sarah and Scotty's place was beautiful, and exactly as depicted. The location is fantastically suited to explore the south shore of Nova Scotia, and it's proximity to the LaHave Bakery is definitely a huge bonus! Beautifully decorated - would recommend for a cozy getaway!
We spent a quiet and relaxing long weekend at Sarah & Scotty's place and loved the house and location. Having a large kitchen that was well-stocked with utensils and cookware was great, and we spent hours reading in front of the cozy wood stove (lots of great books at the house). Sound system set-up was also greatly enjoyed - having speakers in the kitchen was so nice. The property is beautiful - quiet and off the highway, but nice to be able to see the pond from the main level and the ocean from upstairs. Sarah & Scotty were welcoming and accommodating hosts and we'd recommend their place to folks who love the south shore and escaping the city.

We are situated off of the main road, on a small pond (great for winter skating!). The ocean is a 2 min walk down the quiet, one-lane road, and there are many other great beaches within a short bike ride or 5min drive (Crescent Beach & Rissers Provincial Park beaches). Get your ice-cream and wine at the Petite Riviere General Store (10min), your fresh bread and local greens at the LaHave Bakery (5min), and your fresh produce at local markets in West Dublin (5min) and Lunenburg. Bridgewater and Lunenburg are a 30min drive each, for large grocery stores, restaurants etc.
A historic cable ferry connects East LaHave to LaHave, and offers a quick route to Lunenburg, Riverport etc. Runs every 30min, year round, 24/7

Hi. We're Sarah and Scotty from LaHave, Nova Scotia Canada. We both work as paddling guides. Scott's also a musician and teacher, and Sarah is a yoga instructor. We like to keep it simple - get outside, eat delicious food and keep great company. We travel a fair bit for work and fun, and enjoy staying at other Airbnbs and hosting travellers at our home on the Atlantic coast.
