Wonderful house on the hill looking towards the sea! If you don't mind a few windy roads to get up to this place, the peace and privacy when you arrive is great, very relaxing! You need a car to get about to the local bars and restaurants and a small shop/bakery all 5 min drive. The pool is deep not huge and the perfect size for a cool off dip, and great spot for sunbathing. The house is split over 3 levels with the children's beds at the top of the house up a spiral staircase. They enjoyed having their own space up there! The main bedroom has a great terrace and we pulled up some chairs to watch the supermoon rising up over the hills! Kitchen is ok particularly the big fridge - loads of space to load up at a big supermarket before you arrive, as you are 30-40min from major shops say at Agropoli. There are loads of pans and plates etc to cook properly, but could perhaps do with some updating. We paid extra 50 for AC in all rooms which was cold! Great to also have a washing machine!

I stayed in Valerio’s accommodation with my wife, daughter and her boyfriend. It’s a quirky, rustic home in absolutely beautiful surroundings. In my opinion, there just needs a little attention to detail and this will be a great stay. I would have liked the heads up on the dirt track leading to the property. It was unmade and unmade. Be prepared to drive very slowly. The car parking space was too difficult to manage and I parked the car outside the property. Despite this, we would return and recommend it to all.

Un très bel endroit pour passer des vacances au calme et isolé. Le propriétaire a su conserver l'âme de cette ancienne bâtisse. Une vingtaine de minutes pour accéder à la mer. Nous recommandons vivement Il Canale 1861 !

Een verblijf dat onze verwachtingen heeft overtroffen. Geweldige accommodatie op een fabuleuze locatie, met adembenemend panoramisch uitzicht. In en om de woning volop voorzieningen en comfort, maar het meest indrukwekkend waren de rust en de stilte van de omgeving die letterlijk vat op je krijgen. Eigenaar Valerio hebben wij helaas zelf niet kunnen ontmoeten (zijn broer handelde de zaken af), maar hij was op afstand (via mobiele telefoon) meer dan behulpzaam bij allerlei zaken. Hij reageerde ook altijd snel. Wij zijn acht dagen in de woning verbleven en hebben vanuit de accommodatie naast plekken in de Cilento-regio o.m. Paestum, Pompeiî en de Vesuvius bezocht. Niet om de hoek, maar wel goed te doen. Aan het strand zit je in maximaal 20 minuten. De woning zelf is in alle opzichten van alle gemakken voorzien: ruime keuken met grote koelkast, oven, aparte magnetron, 5-pits gasstel en een vaatwasser, de woonruimte heeft leuke zithoekjes en is heel smaakvol ingericht. Wifi werkt prima en er is een tv en een hifi-set. Op de etages zijn de 5 slaapplaatsen. Als we al een minpuntje moeten opnoemen, dan is het dat een deel van de toegangsweg toen wij er waren (oktober 2022) in zeer slechte staat verkeerde. Verder zonder meer een fantastisch verblijf.
