We had a wonderful time at Firnew Farm! Trish, David, and Alex were terrific hosts. The preserved farm is beautiful and we loved the hike around the property. Louie the dog was a great hiking buddy. We loved meeting the animals. We feel grateful to have had the chance to stay at Firnew Farm!

This cottage was a wonderful place to relax and decompress for the weekend! We took our toddler, some friends, and our pups with us and it was very kid/ dog friendly. The farm manager was of huge help and extremely welcoming, when we arrived he gave us a tour of the property and a run down over the cottage along with the history of the property. Only 20 minutes away from the Shenandoah Mountains, but we spent most of our time around the property because it is so peaceful with beautiful views. 5 stars all around!!

Perfect location for our Family. Beautiful farm with hiking paths on the property. Close to Shenandoah National Park. We had a great time even if it rained part of the time we were there. All of the hosts made us feel at home, getting a tour of the property from Alex was great. Our kids and dog had a wonderful time running and exploring.

This was perhaps one of the most relaxing and beautiful places I've ever stayed. from the walking trails, to fishing, to visiting with the goats and chickens, to just relaxing and reading it was the perfect spot for a weekend stay. We spent one day hiking Old Rag mountain which is a 40 minute drive. Next time I will plan just to stay on the property and take advantage of the peace and quiet and all the things to do on the property.

Best. Airbnb. Ever. We loved loved loved our time spent here. Peaceful, beautiful rolling hills as far as the eye can see. Hiking, walking, fishing & swimming will keep you entertained and off your phones! Our dog Merle was ready to permanently move in and has a new best friend in Louie, the sweet & gentle giant pup who lives here! The hosts were so welcoming and friendly - definitely get there with enough daylight to enjoy the farm tour given by Alex. If you need some decompression time spent in nature with friends or family, look no further. We can't wait to come back someday soon. Thank you for your hospitality! All the best, Carissa & Fam
