Les Arbes (The Trees) was the former bar of Grandmont Gites during its days as a hotel, bar and brasserie. Located at the front of the property, it opens onto its own private patio with table and chairs for eating al fresco or simply relaxing with a book. As the former bar of the property its charm and character has been maintained. Chunky wooden beams and exposed stone walls with tiled floor throughout and a huge fireplace plus the bar itself still in place. The accommodation is spread over one ground floor level. Entry leads in to a large sitting room with a Godin log burner. The kitchen (which sits behind the bar) is fully equipped with everything the self-caterer needs. There is a spacious dining area leading off to two bedrooms (master bedroom with double bed leading to patio doors and a further room with two single beds). A sofa bed is provided for a fifth guest. There is a large bathroom with in-built shower, sink and toilet to complete this most charming property. Les Arbres has all modern facilities including free wifi, flat screen TV, satellite English and French TV and use of the heated outdoor pool and gardens. Bed linen and towels are provided for both bedrooms. Please bring your own beach towels or request hire of beach towels (€10 per towel) with your booking.

En ce lieux, chaque pierre a une âme. Le gîte est magique, le jardin fantastique. La piscine et les différents équipements ont embellis cette semaine de vacances. tout était parfait pour notre arrivée, avec même une petite attention de bienvenue très touchante. Le gîte se place parfaitement dans le village et dans son histoire lointaine. Rénové avec goût, bien pensé, tout est parfait. Enfin mention spéciale pour notre couple d'hôtes, très prévenant, à l'écoute et fort sympathique. Je vous recommande vivement d'aller vous reposer à Grandmont.
Cosy, fully equipped (no dishwasher but a washing machine instead) gîte ! We had a great time in the house: the garden with heated swimming pool and plenty of games (pool, ping pong, trampoline.....) is fantastic - the great +++++ of the gîte. Louise and James were very nice and reactive, helping even on Sunday !!! We agreed with previous remarks from visitors, the rooms (esp. dinning room) are dark (which is not a problem on sunny days as the outside is gorgeous !) and WiFi is sometimes slow. The gîte is quite close from many places to visit (lakes, museums....), plenty of indoor and outdoor activities. Very nice area and great location.
L'accueil de Louise est très chaleureux! Elle est disponible pour tous renseignements sur les activités à faire. Le lieu est propice au repos et aux ballades. Le gîte est très bien équipé / décoré et les équipements de qualité. La piscine est grande et le grand jardin permet de laisser les enfants jouer en toute sécurité. Un petit bémol sur l’absence de volets/rideaux occultants et sur les lits qui étaient un peu trop mous à notre goût. Le gîte est un peu sombre mais en été on vit dehors donc ce n’est pas gênant. L'avantage est qu'en cas de chaleur il reste frais est cela est très appréciable. Nous y avons passé un très bon séjour.
Le gîte est propre et fonctionnel, cependant un peu sombre. Qu importe, en ces beaux jours tout est prévu pour vivre dehors : terrasse très pratique et charmante, superbe espace piscine et jardin avec plein de jeux disponibles pour nos garçons !
The gite is in a lovely location in a village in the mountains. When we stayed it was cold and snowy but the gite was lovely and warm with plenty of radiators and a bonus of a gorgeous log burner. The accommodation is very stylish and well appointed (good hotel standard) but still retains the rustic charm of a French cottage in the countryside. The kitchen is really well equipped with good quality pots and pans, and the spacious dining area makes eating 'at home' a real treat. All in all very lovely - Louise was very friendly and helpful and we would not hesitate to recommend it or to make a return visit ourselves.

My husband James and I explored the depths of France in search of the perfect spot to set up home and business. When we arrived at Grandmont we knew we'd found it. We've travelled extensively but nothing beats this beautiful part of France so we really do enjoy nothing more than sharing the experience with our guests!
