Sherry was so kind during my stay and a wonderful host! She greeted me at the house on the first day and was able to give me a small tour of where I would be staying. You do share an entrance with the upstairs and stay in the downstairs/basement. I stayed for 2 weeks but worked full days during the week and was gone hiking around CO with my pup for the weekends so did not spend a whole lot of time at the place but it was great for what I needed and the price. The kitchen is pretty limited but if cooking for only one or two definitely doable. The location was in a safe neighborhood and was a quick drive to a couple parks that I could take my dog too.

Sherry is very kind and responsive. This is an excellent value. If you're a budget minded traveler like I am, this is an awesome spot. There is good internet and tons of space -- it truly is a whole apartment. It isn't fancy, but it is clean and comfortable. This is also an excellent dog friendly spot. The entry is shared, this is true. You can see into Sherry's house when you enter the main door, and then you go down steps to the downstairs apartment. This never bothered me and I didn't feel like I was bothering Sherry by going in and out.

Sherry was there to greet us and give us some advice on the place. Very friendly. We travel a lot with our dog and she has probably the most accommodating place we’ve stayed, you can tell she really cares about pups. When she is home (which wasn’t often) you can hear her walking, didn’t bother us at all but if your dog is a barker it could be an issue. Clean and more than ample space. Great location! Most everything was around the corner to a short 20-30 minute drive. I would stay here again!

We stayed with Sherry for a month while looking for a more permanent place to stay in the Denver area. Sherry was very nice! It was a great, affordable option in the area! We were surprised that the entrance to the basement is not a separate, private entrance but is actually accessed through Sherry’s living room. The side door to the house is directly in front of the staircase so it’s not like we had to wander through the house to have access but still wouldn’t consider this a private entrance. The basement door does lock and Sherry provided us with the key. The main issue that we had during our stay is that the listing says there is a kitchen, but it’s more of an unfinished basement bar with a small sink and a fridge. It was pretty much impossible to cook a meal there, esp since it was requested not to have more than one appliance plugged in at a time and it was made very clear that no food is allowed to go down the drain. Overall, it was good but not for a long term stay.

Sherry is a great host. She was there to greet me when I arrived and gave me some useful tips on getting around the neighborhood. The apartment was clean and well stocked with all the necessities; kitchen and bathroom paper products, coffee, tea, dishes, utensils and cookware. The house is located in a quiet subdivision with easy access to S. University Blvd. The only possible cons would be : (1) The stairs to the basement apt. are fairly steep and could present a challenge for someone with limited mobility. And (2) Although the yard is quite spacious and securely fenced for dogs, the lawn, shrubs and trees were in need of some trimming and a little general TLC. However, this made it even more interesting for my two Airedales who loved romping in the outdoor space. Not all ABNBs are this accommodating well suited for dogs. I would definitely come back and recommend to others.
